Edwardian Script Font
The Edwardian Script is one of the most popular in hand engraving for its swirls and twirls. It is elegant and interesting with an antique style. Beautiful on it's own or combined with other letters, it has deep cuts and fine lines. Upper case for initials, and lower case for words or full names.
Type
Times Roman
Another favourite for engraving, with strong lines and block styling, this works well with both single initials and multiples. Often used with Latin phrases, it is easy to read and has both a clean modern feel and antique influence. Upper and lower case work for both initials and names or words.
type
Fern Font
A modern font that is an alternative to the classic Edwardian script, incorporating decorative swirls. The upright lettering, allows these to sit easily together, making it a great option for multiple initials that can be easily read. Upper & lower case are both great for initials and words or phrases
Type
Gothic
A traditional font that has been associated with the rock lifestyle and tattoos, the gothic font feels edgy but also historical. Lower case works brilliantly as a single initial as well as a word or name.
Engravers Stylecard
The classic Engravers Stylecard was created to show examples of traditional layouts and fonts by the National Association of Jewellers as a standard reference. It's a great place to start when looking for inspiration for an engraved piece.
